Planning to take a vacation from your tedious office routine? Got cash and want to enjoy some vacations? Dubai is the location for you then. One of the seven states of UAE, Dubai is the center for business activities and what not! You’ll find malls, structurally amazing buildings and artificial beauty over here. Tourists are drawn to Dubai and it was nominated number eight in 2009 on the list of most popular and visited places on earth. We have compiled a list of top 10 places in Dubai that you don’t want to miss out on.

10. Dubai Autodrome

10Fan of track racing? Number 10 on our list and one of the biggest attractions of Dubai; Dubai Autodrome was launched in 2004 and has been hosting FIA Championship. It is a part of Union Properties Motor City Development. Fans and tourists both enjoy coming out here to watch track racing.

9. Dubai Beaches

9Put off that clothing and put your surfing pants! That’s right folks. We are off to beaches. Dubai is famous for its beaches, most of which are along the Jumeriah Road and are packed with hotels, clubs, picnic spots and playgrounds. We would strongly suggest you take out time to visit these fun-packed beaches.

8. Burj Al Arab

8 At number eight we have the pride of Dubai; Burj Al Arab. The hotel is not just any hotel but a seven star hotel and was completed in 1999 with construction duration of 5 years. The hotel has been built in the sea and provides quite a spectacular view. The hotel is also considered one of the best hotels in the world.

7. The World in Dubai

7Dubai has the whole world in it. Bit of an over-statement you think? Think again! Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid- ruler of Dubai- came up with this idea to build more than 300 islands to depict the map of world. The whole project’s cost was $14 billion. The islands range from 14,000m² to 42,000m² and can be called just a show-off since there are no building over there yet.

6. The Palm Islands Dubai

6Yes, manmade islands again. This time we are talking about multiple islands in Dubai that have been built in the form of palm trees. Supposedly they are big enough to be seen from space with a naked eye. These islands were constructed by Nakheel Properties and they have done quite a wonderful job. Unlike the previous islands, The Palm Islands do have a few buildings constructed on them, generally houses of celebrities and billionaires.

5. Burj Khalifa

5So you are visiting Dubai and all of a sudden you have the desire to have a bird view of Dubai and its surroundings. Probably the very same idea crossed the creators of Burj Khalifa a.k.a. known as Burj Dubai. It enjoys the title of world’s tallest building with a height of 829.8 m. It started operations around the end of 2010 and the whole project’s cost was $1.5 billion. The Burj consists of 163 floors, just in case you were wondering.

4. Dubai Museum

4It would appear that most of the tourist spots we have discussed so far have been built quite recently. Well, this one will change the pattern; Dubai Museum was constructed in 1787 and its aim is to present the traditions and ways of living of people of Dubai to the tourists. The Museum serves a million visitors and is full of local and international artifacts of historical importance that make quite a fine collection.

3. Ski Dubai

3Now skiing is something that we can’t do every other day. Well, most of us can’t. Dubai has solved that problem as well. An indoor ski resort which is a part of Dubai Mall, offers a total skiing area of 22,500 sq. ft. It was opened in 2005 and has quite some features; a 60 m high mountain with five different types of slopes and difficulty along with a 400 m long run and 90 m long quarter pipe. The resort provides you with winter clothing, skiing equipment and snowboards. Cool, isn’t it?

2. The Dubai Mall

2Although it’s a part of Burj Khalifa but since it can be accessed via Doha Street we have given the famous Dubai Mall its own spot on our list; number two. It houses more than 1,200 shops and is the home to world’s largest Gold Souk which comprises of 220 retailers. Other important shops contain Fashion Catwalk Atrium, Fashion Islands and departmental stores. It’s not all about the shops and stores that are present in the Dubai Mall; you will also find The Oasis, fountains and waterfalls adding to the beauty of the Mall.

1. Desert Safari

1Drivers, buckle up, it’s about to start. You thought we’d miss the Desert Safari?! Desert Safari will provide you with vehicles to do some off road travelling with sand dunes and have the ultimate fun of your life. Although it requires some really good driving skills to handle the jeep in the sand but hey, what the heck, let’s just get in there and have some crazy fun, right?
